TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE STAR MILES FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAM BY AIR PANAMA
1. The objective of the STAR MILES FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAM by Air Panama is to reward our customers for their loyalty to the airline and to give them personalized attention with "Stars" that can be exchanged for award tickets to any of our destinations according to the pre-established tables under the conditions and limits mentioned below, depending on the flights made by the program's passengers, and according to applicable rates for the accumulation of points. For membership in the STAR MILES by Air Panama program, the passenger will receive Stars as a welcome bonus based on the means used to join.
If it is through the website, you will receive 100 Stars; on the other hand, if it is through an agent or the call center, you will receive 50 Stars.
The number of Star to be accumulated will depend on the route and fare used on the passenger's flights (see Table 1). In the case of roundtrip flights, the total cumulative Stars would be double the established amount. There are other ways in which passengers can earn points, such as through bonuses for on-route promotions or through compensation adjustments.
Tickets with special discounts for airline personnel, charter flights, special travel agent fares, or those related to Commercial Alliances do not earn Stars for the frequent flyer and STAR MILES loyalty program.
2. The customer will apply for membership in the STAR MILES program and will be enrolled once they have met the membership requirements and accepted the terms and conditions of the program.
The passenger authorizes the registration of their personal information in the Air Panama database for the execution of the STAR MILES program and other promotions. The STAR MILES Program reserves the right to correct errors or omissions in the account structure.
For the accumulation of Stars, the passenger must include their Star Miles number at the time of web check-in or at the counter check-in.
The passenger may receive information on their account statement and the Stars earned by contacting the STAR MILES customer service center or through our website www.airpanama.com .
Flights with award tickets do not earn Stars.
3. Accumulated Stars have no monetary value of any kind and are prohibited from being sold, assigned, transferred, or gifted to any account other than that of the passenger who accumulated them. The Stars credit is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash or other negotiable goods between STAR MILES passengers, other programs, or third parties.
Award tickets can only be used by the affiliated passenger or transferred only to direct family members (ascendant, descendant, and spouse).
The award ticket has no fare value; consequently, it is non-refundable, non-endorsable, and cannot be used as a form of payment.
The award ticket will be subject to prior reservation. The issuance expenses, fees, and taxes generated by the issuance of the award ticket will be at the passenger's expense.
4. Accumulated Stars expire 24 months after the last activity if they have not been redeemed.
5. The passenger has a period of 30 calendar days from the completion of the flight to submit any claim request corresponding to the accrual of Stars in the STAR MILES program..
6. The member's STAR MILES program card will be virtual and available once the customer accesses their profile in the Star Miles system. This card is personal and non-transferable and will be identified by the passenger's Star Miles number.
The passenger accepts their status as a user and holder of the card and is responsible for its correct use. Air Panama is not responsible for any improper or fraudulent use that may be made of it.
7. The member accepts Air Panama's right to cancel the account and cancel the STAR MILES Program card in case of fraud, illicit activity, or non-compliance with the established conditions, rules, and/or procedures.
Air Panama reserves the right to partially or totally terminate the STAR MILES program, granting compensation to Stars affiliates who will be able to redeem award tickets.
In the event of the death of the STAR MILES Program member, all accumulated Stars will be extinguished.
8. The passenger accepts that the program has four categories (Star, Silver, Gold, and Platinum), which are different levels or status that the passenger obtains by meeting certain conditions, granting them additional benefits, which will only be available during the time that the passenger maintains the corresponding category. These conditions and benefits are announced through our website www.airpanama.com.
The client has a period of 12 months to meet the conditions established to maintain their status or be promoted. If it is not possible to maintain the conditions that make the passenger worthy of the category, they will automatically be demoted to the previous category.
For the promotion of categories, the Stars obtained by flying and bonuses are taken into account, excluding any adjustments.
9. To redeem the award ticket, the customer must have in their account the number of Stars required according to the destination. These can be issued for round-trip flights or one-way trips, which must have the same origin and destination.
If the customer maintains a sufficient number of Stars to redeem their ticket, they can do so by accessing their Star Miles profile.
En fechas con alta demanda de pasajeros, no se garantizarán reservaciones ni cupos para la emisión de pasajes gratis. Es muy importante que el pasajero verifique la disponibilidad de asientos para pasajes premio STAR MILES antes de planificar su viaje, ya que únicamente se dispone de un máximo de 4 asientos por vuelo.
The passenger accepts that they will not be entitled to compensation for any reason that prevents their flight from being carried out, including due to delay and/or cancellation.
10. Membership in the STAR MILES Program is free and open to any natural person over the age of eighteen (18) who wishes to join.
For all purposes inherent to the STAR MILES frequent flyer and loyalty program, the passenger and Air Panama choose Panama City, Republic of Panama, as their special and exclusive domicile, submitting to the jurisdiction of its administrative and judicial authorities.
The passenger declares that they have read and understood the terms of this document and accepts the value of the miles established in the tables and the conditions for obtaining and redeeming them for award tickets.
The company reserves the right to add new terms and conditions.
